Dear St Philip’s Families,
I hope you all had a lovely half term and managed to make the most of some of the lovely weather.
Before half term, our children made flags from countries associated with their families for the Parish Food Festival. I am sure many of you enjoyed the range of dishes on offer at Pentecost – a wonderful celebration of the diversity in our community.
It was lovely to welcome so many of you to our St Philip’s Day celebrations. Bishop Richard celebrated Mass with the school community, followed by a family picnic on the field. The weather was glorious and the children had a wonderful time learning all about our rather jolly patron Saint. St Philip was fond of a joke and had a special liking for cats. He once sent someone to walk his cat around Rome to demonstrate to them that they were not as important as they thought they were!
