Dear St Philip’s Families,
I hope you all had a lovely half term. The children have been very busy learning through lots of fun activities.
Fairtrade
Our RE council are working towards achieving Fairacheiver Status, which is the final level of the Fairtrade Award. They have developed an action plan and have already held several events. The RE council has developed a Fairtrade Policy, we held a Fairtrade Tuck Shop which raised £101.50 and a Fair Trade Bake Sale to promote the use of Fair Trade ingredients. The children have also been engaged in Fairtrade activities in class. Today, we were lucky to welcome two visitors from the Fairtrade Foundation for a Fairtrade Assembly, the children learnt about how Fairtrade can make a real difference to the lives of the people in developing countries.
