Dear St Philip’s Families,
I hope you all had a lovely half term. We have had a very busy start this week and the children have been learning through lots of fun activities.
Enterprise Day was a great success and I would like to thank the children, staff and parent helpers for all their hard work. The children learnt some valuable lessons about supply and demand, sales and marketing and profit and loss, which I hope will stand them in good stead later in their lives. Congratulations to everyone for their fantastic efforts during Enterprise week. Here are the results, based on net profit:
Reception £32.95 Raystede
Year 1 £93.17 WWF
Year 2 £52.00 Chestnut Tree Hospice
Year 3 £52.10 Wateraid
Year 4 £46.60 Cancer Research UK
Year 5 £70.42 Cancer Research UK
Year 6 £79.75 Chestnut Tree Hospice
It’s great that the children have managed to raise so much money for these worthy causes.
