Dear St Philip’s Families,
I hope you all had a lovely Easter and enjoyed some time with your families and maybe even managed to get away! The first week of term seems to have flown by and the children have been very busy here at St Philip’s. The children look very smart in their summer uniform and I would like to thank you all for supporting the school’s uniform policy so wholeheartedly. Please could we remind you that children should be wearing shoes that securely fit to their feet to enable them to use the play equipment.
The infants started our Holy Week celebrations with their Palm Sunday Liturgy. They retold the story of The Triumphant Entry into Jerusalem and sang beautifully. It was wonderful to be joined by so many family members too.
On the last day of term, Year 6 led us through the Stations of the Cross; a very thoughtful and reflective service.
Year 3 and 4 led us beautifully in our Dressing of the Cross Liturgy today and it was wonderful to be joined by so many members of our school community. A big thank you for all the beautiful flowers you sent in. It is always emotional to see the cross brought back to life with flowers, reminding us of the hope that Jesus offers us.
