Dear St Philip’s Families,
In our assemblies we have been looking at the gospel of Matthew 5: (21-26). We then discussed how to fall out in the right way. We explored whether we were a teddy bear, a shark, a turtle, an owl or a fox!
A teddy bear always gives in to others. An owl works with others to find an answer that makes everyone happy. A fox encourages everyone to give in a little, in other words, to compromise. A turtle avoids arguments, even when in the right. A shark wants to win at all costs – and doesn’t care what it takes, or the feelings of the other person. We came up with examples of how we could be more like the owl or the fox.
